Customs CG Volleyball Premier League: 13 Days Of Exciting Action Ends In Abuja




After an intriguing 13 days of exciting  action, the First Phase, Third    Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Volleyball Premier League ended at the Indoor Sports Hall, National Stadium Abuja  on Saturday.


As expected, two teams that showed strength from Day 1, Nigerian Customs Service and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) teams, did not leave their fans disappointed.


On Day 13,  CNS Spikers spanked  Offa VC 3-0,  25-23,  25-12 and 25-12 in the male fixtures.


Nigeria Police Force shot down  Sunshine Spikers 3-0,  25-20,  25-11 and 25-14.


NSCDC wasted no time in dismantling UCEM 3-0, 25-21,  25-16 and 25-22.


Defence Spikers could not survive and were punished by Nigeria Correctional Service 1-3,  19-25, 15-25,  25-23 and 20-25.


Hard fighting Kano Pillars lost to  Life Camp VC 2-3,  24-26, 16-25,  25-17, 25-21 and  13-15.


In what was expected to be the star match of the male fixture, COAS Spikers disappointed  their fans as they were grounded by  Nigeria Customs Service 0-3,  23-25,  18-25 and  20-25.


In the female encounters, Kaduna's pride, Kada Emeralds bounced back into the league, trouncing Excelsior VC 3-0, 25-20,  25-23 and 25-17.


Life Camp VC trounced Olalomi Royal Angels 3-0, 25-16, 25-17 and 25-15.



Benue Queens could not withstand the venom of Vipers  Spikers, falling 0-3, 12-25, 12-25 and 20-25.


Female COAS Spikers avenged the defeat of their male team by beating  Nigeria Customs Service female  team 3-2,  25-22,  25-19,  21-25,  23-25 and 15-5.


NAF Rockets were taken down by   CNS Spikers 0-3,  13-25, 17-25 and  14-25.


In the last female match, Fire Service Spikers lost gallantly  to NSCDC 0-3,  20-25,  20-25 and  13-25.



The first phase of the 2026 league was held between June 13 to 28, with the first and last days for arrival and departure respectively.


It brought together Premier League teams from all across Nigeria.
