Easter: AIG Zone 12 Deploys Intelligence Assets To Highways, Places Of Worship
In its avowed and continued commitment to keeping to its statutory mandate of securing the public space, the Zone 12 headquaters Bauchi has directed for adequate and massive deployment of personnel and materials to ensure a peaceful and hitch free Easter celebrations within its Area of Responsibility (AoR) as directed by the IGP.
In furtherance of the foregoing, the Assistant Inspector General incharge of Bauchi and Gombe commands, AIG Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, psc has directed the two Commissioners of Police, Squadron Commanders and other Tactical Commanders within his AoR to mobilise and deploy all operational and intelligence assets at their disposal for protection of all major highways, places of worship, recreational and other facilities to ensure that criminals are kept at bay and denied the latitude to carry out their nefarious activities.
A statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer Zone 12 Bauchi, SP Mohammed Jalige, said that he further directed that visibility patrols around all the nooks and crannies of the zone to ensure members of the public celebrates in peace and confidence.
The AIG further notifies the public that the sale and use of fireworks, knockouts and fire crackers in the Zone has been banned and hence parents and guardians are advised to warn their wards and keep close watch on them to avoid running foul of the law.
He further advised road users to be careful and vigilant while on the highways, obey all traffic rules and cooperate with law enforcement and safety agents on the roads.
Residents of the states are assured of the readiness of the Zonal headquarters to promptly respond to distress situations and decisively deal with any person or group of persons who might in any way attempt to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the two States during the festive period and beyond.
Members of the public are enjoined to report any suspicious movement and objects to the nearest Police/Security formation
