Kaduna Customs Area Command Records Outstanding Revenue Performance In 2024
The Kaduna Customs Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved a remarkable milestone in revenue generation for the 2024 fiscal year.
This was made known in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer Kaduna Area Command, Chief Superintendent of Customs, Ridwan Yusuf, dated December 3, 2025 on behalf of the Customs Area Controller, Tijjani Abe.
This statement highlighted the Command's exceptional accomplishments, including
surpassing its annual revenue target and achieving a significant year-on-year increase
in revenue collection.
It said that in 2024, the Command generated a total revenue of ₦32,207,535,306.75,
representing 96.65% increase compared to the ₦16,378,179,323.89 collected in 2023.
"This remarkable performance equates to an additional ₦15,829,355,982.86 over the
previous year’s collection.
"Furthermore, the Command exceeded its 2024 revenue target of ₦28,962,262,177.56 by 11.21%, amounting to an increase of ₦3,245,273,129.19," it added.
It further said that this milestone represents a significant achievement since the Command's establishment.
"These figures underscore the Command's robust revenue performance and its
effectiveness in stakeholder engagement and operational efficiency.
"In Stakeholder Engagement and Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS), the Kaduna Customs Area Command's success is attributed to its proactive engagement
with stakeholders, including importers, exporters, and Customs clearing agents.
"Throughout 2024, the Command organized multiple meetings and roundtable discussions to address challenges, foster collaboration, and promote trade facilitation.
"In addition to its operational achievements, the Command has demonstrated a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility. Initiatives such as the provision of drinking water facilities and regular security meetings with host communities have strengthened relationships and enhanced mutual trust," the statement explained.
Looking ahead into 2025, Comptroller Tijjani Abe, fsi, Ph.D., expressed confidence in sustaining and improving the Command’s revenue generation capabilities.
He emphasized the importance of continued stakeholder collaboration and vigilance against smuggling activities.
The Kaduna Customs Area Command remains steadfast in its commitment to service delivery and anticipates even greater
accomplishments in future fiscal years.
