Abuja's Smart Revolution: Unveiling Road Map To A Digital Future

In a groundbreaking event, Havel Corporate Concept, an affiliate of ioSafe Nigeria, launched the Strategic Road Map for the Abuja Smart City Project, setting the stage for a transformative journey to a digitalized and sustainable future.

The event, held during the 2024 Nigeria Data Expo and Conference in Abuja, featured the unveiling of the project's logo and official website. Dr. Ahmed Badanga, CEO of Havel Corporate Concept, outlined the ambitious vision to transform Abuja into a smart city by 2040, aligning with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister's transformation efforts.

Experts emphasized the crucial role of data, innovative minds, and collaborative efforts in driving the transformation. Dr. Vincent Olatunji, National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, highlighted the importance of data in planning and policy-making. Mr. Robb Moore, a Data and Smart Grid Specialist from the United States, stressed the need for innovative minds to drive the transformation. Mr. Nasiru Usman, Vice-Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), lauded the initiative as crucial for transforming Abuja into a befitting capital city.

As the Abuja Smart City Project gains momentum, it promises to revolutionize Nigeria's capital city, ushering in a new era of digital efficiency and urban sophistication. The collaborative efforts between government bodies, technology firms, and data specialists will drive this transformation, making Abuja a model for smart cities in Africa.
