Akpabio: Stop "Vicious Lies" Against Senate President, APC Patriots Bomb Sen Abbo

A group,  APC Patriots has come hard on ousted Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial Zone, Ishaku Abbo  for what that they described as "vicious lies" against Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

The group expressed this in a statement made available to our correspondent yesterday, signed by James Gereng.

"We the concerned members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the auspices of APC Patriots are appalled by the wicked and vicious lies which the ousted senator representing Adamawa north senatorial zone, Ishaku Abbo spewed against our amiable senate president, His Excellency Sen. Godswill Akpabio.

"It will have come to us as a rude shock if the self styled narcissistic megalomaniac with a sense of self entitlement accepted such unfavorable verdict with equanimity. The fact that the verdict came from a neutral arbiter; the temple of justice didn't matter a bit to him. 

"That is why the ousted senator went wild and adrift and immersed himself into a grandeur hallucination of apophenic proportions after his phenomenal fall. In his delusional fantasy, the senator felt the only way he could found an escape route from his huge fall is to indict innocent people and institutions including the senate president and the court," the group said.

APC Patriots said that, "the troubled politician and a renowned rabble rouser needs to trade with utmost caution as his libelous canards will sooner than later land him into big trouble. 

"It appears that in his avowed move to defend his disastrous fall, Abbo felt he must drag others to the hall of infamy."

According to them, that is the only reason why Abbo will be apportioning blames to the senate president who has nothing to do with his political travails and failures.

" It is preposterous that a man who recently hail the court as the last hope of the common man after his victory at the trial court has now made an impromptu and  paradoxic detour because the eagle eyes of the law has traced his litany of  electoral heists.

"The reason why democracy instituted a number of judicial checks on election matters is to ensure only those legitimately and validly elected represent the people. And in Abbo's case the appellate court has lived up to its billing.

"The appellate court which is manned by superior man power and expertise after deeply scrutinizing the nuances of the trail court verdict has found Abbo guilty of electoral fraud and nothing including blackmail and name calling will stop it from ousting him out of the office he is occupying illegally.

"But from his actions and utterances, Abbo is out to rock democracy since his desire to occupy an office illegally did not come to fruition," they submitted.

The group said that Abbo's "nonsensical grandstanding is the usual antics of antidemocratic elements camouflaging in borrowed garbs. In the first place such elements are in politics to massage their ego and derive the highest capital at all cost. These clan of politicians are usually the worst losers. Therefore his vociferous outcry is well understood.

"His recent verbal diarrhea and unwieldy conjurations are symptomatic of a man with moral and modesty deficiency which made him to take two opposing actions in rapid successions and also made himself a willing connoisseur of misinformation and fake news which he propagated with vile with the sole aim of misleading Nigerians.

"Since the tribunals and appeal courts started announcing their verdicts, a number of APC members including the sitting governor of Nasarawa State and a handful of national assembly members from APC have lost out but heaven did not fall.

"Can we in all honesty say Akpabio was the force behind the political travails of governor of Nasarawa State and other key elected national assembly members from APC who suffer legal misfortunes? If the senate president must choose between members of his political party and others in the senate, will it not be suicidal for him to trade his party men knowing that he is today the senate president because of the numerical strength of his party in the hallowed chambers? The questions go ad infinitum.

"It is nauseating that Abbo is the man fouling our eardrums with the talk of morality and remediation in politics for the expediency of political correctness. 

"And a man with such a level of moral bankruptcy should not be the one to  climb the pulpit of morality and assail our sensibilities. In his warped narrative to curry the sympathy of the general public, Abbo regaled us with his (sic) excellent democratic credentials by saying that he was never associated with any form of disruptive political behavior or violence.

"The man with a high propensity for cheap talk, double standards and selective amnesia totally forgot how he became the main character in the most odious script of shame in which a Nigerian politician of his standing featured prominently. If the senator has forgotten the Abuja adult toy shop saga in which he featured as the villain who harassed and brutalized an innocent woman over minor disagreement, then he needs to assail his memory because it is failing him.

"The man also conveniently forgot how he violently assaulted one of his aides to the near point of death over little disagreement. He also forgot how he supervised an assault on the then deputy chairman of APC in Adamawa, Saidu Naira on the eve of 2023 elections, which nearly cost Naira his life.

"It is high time for Abbo to look inwards and take stock of his activities before he lands into a really messy situation. A word, they say is enough for the wise".
